フランスにいる時間が長くなり、広い世界でいろいろなものを見ているうちに美術のことがよくわからなくなった。そのとき私にできたことは、自分の身の回りにある日常を再現しその中で生きている自分を想像してもらうことくらい。この個展ではボルドーの私のアパートをギャラリーの中に忠実に再現することだけを考えたので結果的にはとても楽しい作業だった。
▪️畑のぬいぐるみ
フランスの冬、ひとりで過ごす寂しさを紛らすように肌触りのよい柔らかい布を集めてぬいぐるみを作った。暖かい季節に見た、田舎の広大な田園風景を思い起こしながらたくさん縫った。ならべてみると飛行機のなかから畑を眺めているような風景ができあがった。
Having Lived in France for long and seen many things around the world, I became unsure of art. All I could do then was to recreate the everyday things around me and have people image me living in that.
Focused to recreate the apartment in Bordeaux I lived faithfully at this private exhibition, which I enjoyed eventually.
“PLUSHY IN THE FIELD”
Made plushy with warm and comfortable fabric to conceal my loneliness at night in the winter in France. Made a lot of them recalling the vast rural landscape I saw in the warm seasons. They made a landscape of the field seen from the airplane window.
